Backa Hans Eriksson was trained at Kungliga Musikhögskolan (the Royal University College of Music) in Stockholm and at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, USA, and has also been working as a teacher at both of these schools. He has been a freelancing electric & contra bassist since the mid 70’s and performed at recordings and tours with among others Ulf Lundell, Lisa Ekdahl, The Boogie Kings, Peter LeMarc, Mamma Mu & Kråkan, Nordman, Anders Widmark, Helen Sjöholm and Povel Ramel as well as at musical performances such as ”Kristina från Duvemåla” and ”Chess”. Backa Hans is at presently touring with CajsaStina Åkerström and his own duo ”Fairytale – Sagolik Musik” together with recorder flutist Malou Meilink.
