
Rebecca Barham grew up in London and started to take piano lessons when she was four years old and at ten gave her first public performance. She attended City of London School for girls where she was awarded piano and choral scholarships to study music alongside her academic studies. She continued her music training at Trinity College studying piano with John Bingham. At Trinity she won two 1st Prizes and in her final year won her debut London recital at St. Martin in the Field`s. After graduating Rebecca went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Julius Drake where she was awarded a Disney bursary and a Distinction for her postgraduate diploma recital. Rebecca Barham has given concerts in the UK., Sweden, Poland, Portugal and Latvia. Future projects include recording a debut disc of Debussy`s piano music for the Altara label. Rebecca is artistic director of the Bedford Park Recital Series in London, where she lives with her family.
