Håvard Gimse is one of Norway´s most distinguished classical concert and recording artists, with more than 30 CDs to his credit. Håvard is recipient of the prestigious "Grieg Prize", the "Steinway Prize" and recently the Norwegian Sibelius Society´s "Sibelius Prize". He is particularly in demand as a recitalist and chamber musician, being the accompanist f choice for many of Norway’s prestigious solo artists. Håvard has worked with many of the world’s finest orchestras and his international festival engagements include Valdemossa Chopin Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Bath Festival, Bergen International Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Cervantino and many more. Gimse is one of the Artistic Directors for the Oslo Chamber Music Festival held annually in August.
