Agnieszka Mazur - soprano

Agnieszka Mazur is from Poland and was born in the family of musical tradition. She began her education in music with violin at the age of 7 and then continued with flute. Finding the talent for singing she entered the Vocal and Acting Faculty of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz which she graduated from with distinction. In 1994 she got the special prize at the International Adam Didur Vocal Competition in Bytom. In 1991-93 she was the soloist in Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz and from 1993 up to current days in Silesian Opera in Bytom. Agnieszka Mazur is a guest singer in Szczecin Opera, Music Theater in Gliwice, Cracow Opera (from 1997). She made a numerous foreign tours with different Polish opera companies e.g. in Germany (Giulietta - Montecchi and Capuleti, Pamina - The Magic Flute, Mciaela, Frasquita, Mercedes - Carmen), Holland (Rossina – Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and performed at gala opera concerts in Schiller Theater and Berlin Philharmonic. Her wide opera and operette repertoire includes, besides mentioned above:

Besides the opera she gladly performs great oratorio repertoire of J.S.Bach, G. Rossini and contemporary composers and songs of XVII to XX century.
